Legend memberships are for the ultimate Comic-Con fan giving you year-round access to Comic-Con Museum and one (1) four-day plus Preview Night badge to the Comic-Con 2024 convention. Quantities of this membership are limited and we anticipate that this level will quickly sell out. Moreover, our membership supports us and enables us to continue to grow and develop future exhibits, programs, and events that fans like you expect from us. Your Comic-Con Museum membership welcome kit will include a badge voucher with code and instructions on how to redeem the code for your four-day plus Preview Night badge to Comic-Con 2024.

Membership welcome kits typically ship approximately three to four weeks following the purchase of your Legend membership.

Yes! You may gift the badge voucher you receive in your membership welcome kit to a family member, friend, or another individual of your choice. You may not, however, sell or resell this code. The badge is solely for your or your designated recipient’s use.

The portal to redeem your badge voucher in Comic-Con International’s online badge system will open sometime in December 2023. We will send you an email at a later date informing you when the portal will open. Please note that you (or your designated recipient) will be required to create a Comic-Con Member ID (if you do not already have one) in order to redeem the badge. Creation of a Member ID ensures that you (or your designated recipient) will be eligible for Returning Registration for Comic-Con 2025, the exclusives portal for Comic-Con 2024, and badge shipping for Comic-Con 2024.

If you (or your designated recipient) register for your badge by May 13, 2024, and have a valid U.S. address saved as your “Primary Shipping Address” on your Member ID, you will be eligible for shipping. Otherwise, your badge will be available for pick-up on-site. More information about badge shipping and on-site badge pick-up will be published on comic-con.org in Spring 2024.

Comic-Con Museum Legend membership status does not impact your eligibility to participate in Comic-Con 2024 Returning or Open Registration badge sales. You may participate in Returning (if eligible) and/or Open Registration in an effort to purchase a badge for someone else. Alternatively, you may give the Comic-Con 2024 badge voucher you receive with your Legend membership to an individual of your choice and participate in Returning (if eligible) and/or Open Registration in an effort to purchase a badge for yourself. The cost of your membership, minus the value of any goods and services (AKA “swag”) you receive along with it, is tax deductible. When you become a member or make a donation, we will send you a tax receipt that says exactly how much of your membership dues are not tax deductible. Yes! We appreciate your early support and you have earned the right to your title. When you purchase a Legend membership you will have the benefits associated with that level of membership and you will be recognized in our system as a Charter Member.

Legend membership quantities are limited and may not be available every year or at the time of your renewal period.

Legend membership pre-sales will be open to current members from October 7–9, 2023. During this three-day pre-sale, only current Museum members can purchase a Legend membership. Beginning on October 12, Legend membership sales will open to the general public. 

Watch for an email on Saturday, October 7 at 10 a.m. to fill out an online form to express your interest in purchasing a Legend membership. Beginning on October 7 at 10 a.m., Museum staff will contact you via phone in order to complete your purchase. The phone call will come from a 619 area code number. We will attempt to call you three times to complete your sale. The form will be live until 11:59 PM on Monday, October 9, or until we sell out. It may take up to 14 days for Museum staff to contact you via phone and finish processing your sale.

If you are within three months of your current membership expiration date on the date of purchase, your membership will renew for another year at the Legend level. For example, if your current membership expires on November 30, 2023, and you purchase a Legend membership in October, you will have access to your new membership benefits beginning on your date of purchase and your new membership will expire on November 30, 2024. 

If you are outside the three-month renewal period, your new Legend membership will replace your current membership at a pro-rated price. You will have access to all Legend member benefits beginning on the date of purchase and your new Legend membership will expire the next year on the last day of the month in which you purchased the Legend membership. For example, if you purchased your current membership in January at the $75 Fan level and wish to upgrade to Legend during the member pre-sale, your Legend membership would be $1,881.25 and would expire October 31, 2024.

You can purchase Legend memberships for the primary and secondary members listed on your family membership. Each Legend membership comes with two free General Admissions for children under the age of 17 per Legend member visit. (Legend member must be present for free children General Admission to apply.) You will have access to all Legend member benefits beginning on the date of purchase and your new Legend membership will expire the next year on the last day of the month in which you purchased the Legend membership. Please note that children ages 12 and under, regardless of the adult’s badge type, may attend the Comic-Con convention for free. Children can receive a free badge on-site in the Registration Area or at one of SDCC’s Badge Solutions Desks. SDCC does not pre-register children. Your membership is valid for one year from the time you join. When it is time for renewal we will be in contact with you and you are welcome to upgrade or change your membership at that time. Legend membership quantities are limited and only members can participate in the pre-sale, October 7–9, 2023. We cannot guarantee that the Legend membership will be offered every year or at the time of your renewal period.

Thank you so much for your early support of Comic-Con Museum. All Charter memberships were valid from date of purchase to one year after the Museum opened. If you did not renew your Charter Membership, it expired on November 26, 2022. Only current active members are eligible for the Member pre-sale.
